Ocala, Fla. – Highlighted by a clean sweep of the medals in the 500 Yard Freestyle on Thursday, The St. Thomas University Men's Swimming & Diving Team ended day one of the 2026 Sun Conference Championship in first place with 263.5 points while the Women's side sits two points behind first-place Savannah College of Art and Design.

All-Conference Honorees (MEN)

• Alan Gonzalez brought home the gold in the 500 Yard off a 4:31.09 time.
• Adam Conrad recorded a 1:48.77 200 Yard IM time for second place.
• The 800 Yard Freestyle Relay quarter of Rafa Gonzalez, Iker Ramirez, Jayen Viscaino and Aldo Zepeda recorded a 6:41.37 time that secured second.
• Flynn Smith tallied a 4:32.85 500 Yard Freestyle time for second place.
• Elliot Best took bronze in the 500 Yard Freestyle behind a 4:32.82 swim.

 
All-Conference Honorees (WOMEN)

• Alessia Classen took second in the 200 Yard IM with a 2:04.71 time.
• Mireya Bonilla recorded 253.95 points in the 1 Meter Dive for second place.
• Gigi Castellan, Emma Phillips, Anaya Robinson and Martine Abrahamsen combined for a 1:45.94 200 Yard Medley Relay swim that took second.
• Emma Phillips placed third in the 200 Yard IM behind a 2:07.40 showing.
• The Bobcats 800 Yard Freestyle Relay of Alonso Moron, Galea Berraud, Yana Trop and Martine Abrahamsen took third behind a 7:46.92 time.

 
The Conference Championship continues Friday, Feb. 6 and concludes on Saturday, Feb. 7.
