Miami Gardens, Fla. – In a return to the norm in the Sun Conference, the back-to-back Setter of the Year
Payton Bertke was named the league's Setter of the Week.
Opening the week with a 37-assist showing in a 3-0 sweep of Ave Maria, Bertke finished the week with back-to-back double-doubles at Florida College (47 assists, 12 digs) and at Southeastern (42 assists, 10 digs). She averaged 10.50 assists per set over the three games.
On the season, Bertke boasts 10.33 assists which ranks ninth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) while guiding the Bobcats to a .260 team hitting percentage which ranks sixth nationally.
The Bobcats dip out of conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 7 to take on Florida National with first serve set for 7 pm.
