West Palm Beach, Fla. – Opening Sun Conference play on Saturday afternoon, the St. Thomas University Women's Basketball Team took the lead over host Keiser University with the opening basket of the fourth quarter and kept the lead for the duration of their 57-53 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Keiser opened the contest with the initial four points, holding the Bobcats with a run of consecutive points over the opening 10 minutes to hold an 11-7 lead.
- The Bobcats used a 5-0 start to the second quarter to pull ahead 12-11, only for a 7-0 response by the host creating an 18-12 score with 5:58 remaining in the half. The Bobcats rallied to get within one at 18-17, but went into the break down 23-19 after a three pointer by the Seahawks at the buzzer.
- Facing a double-digit separation at 33-23 with 5:13 remaining in the third quarter, the Bobcats held Keiser without a run greater than three for the rest of the frame while chipping into the deficit to make it 39-38 heading into the final 10 minutes.
- STU took the lead off a triple to start the fourth quarter, countering a Keiser layup with four-straight to pull ahead 45-41 with 7:14 left to play. Creating a seven-point lead at 54-47 with 2:33 remaining in the contest, the Bobcats held onto the lead for the rest of the night.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- STU went 19-47 from the field, 5-15 from beyond the arc and 14-19 from the free throw line. Keiser went 20-67, 7-29 from three-point range and 6-10 from the free throw line.
- St. Thomas held a 40-39 advantage in rebounds.
- The Bobcats forced 12 turnovers, resulting in seven points. The host scored 11 points off 17 turnovers.
- STU recorded eight steals and two block versus 10 steals and four blocks for the Seahawks.
