Miami Gardens, Fla. – In a competitive, back-and-forth battle one would expect in a matchup to decide the 2025 Sun Conference Regular Season Champions on Saturday afternoon, the 14t ranked St. Thomas University Women's Volleyball avenged their early loss to Southeastern with a 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15) to win their STU-record fifth-straight regular season crown.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After trading the opening 20 points of the contest, the Bobcats scored back-to-back points and eight of the ensuing nine to quickly create an 18-11 advantage. The visitors rallied to knot the score at 23-all before back-to-back STU tallies ended the frame.
- STU overcame a late SEU 5-0 rally in the second set that gave them a 19-18 advantage with the following point, taking the lead at 23-22 before the Fire closed the set with a 3-0 run.
- Fueled by a .519 hitting percentage during the third set, the Bobcats raced out to a 5-0 start and led the entire frame.
- The Bobcats quickly created a double-digit lead at 11-1 in the fourth set and kept the lead above five for the duration of the match.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Raya Mlyakova sparked the Bobcats behind 12 kills on a .370 hitting percentage alongside three assisted blocks and one service ace.
- Alexandra Bruno tied for the team-lead in kills with 12 on a .333 clip on top of six digs.
- Aleksandra Ivanovic chipped in 10 kills on a .600 hitting percentage and eight assisted blocks.
- Payton Bertke dished 49 assisted with 12 digs for a double-double.
- Fabiana Mucciola added 12 digs.
