Miami Gardens Fla. – Despite a strong start to Sunday afternoon's contest that had the St. Thomas University Women's Basketball team leading for the majority of the opening half, visiting Lindsey Wilson flipped the advantage in the third quarter before fending off the Bobcats in the fourth of a 66-57 result.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- STU countered a basket by the visitors to start the contest with four-straight points and never trailed for the rest of the quarter, using an 8-0 run to create a 16-7 lead before a Blue Raiders; triple with 20 seconds left in the frame made it 16-10.
- The Bobcats used a triple and jump shot sandwiching a Lindsey Wilson free throw to create a double-digit lead at 21-11, only for an 11-2 stretch by the visitors making it a one-point game at 23-22 with 4:04 left in the half. Lindsey Wilson ended the half with the final six points to hold a 30-29 lead at the break.
- The Bobcats reclaimed the lead off a triple to open the third contest, responding to a LWU basket with one of their own before a triple and jumper back-to-back for the Blue Raiders made it 37-34 with 7:03 left in the quarter. Lindsey Wilson held STU without consecutive baskets for the rest of the stanza, ending it on a 10-0 run to boast a 49-36 lead.
- Facing a 20-point separation with 1:50 left to play at 66-46, the Bobcats attempted a rally and cut the deficit down to single digits at 66-57 before the final buzzer rang.

- STU went 20-54 from the field, 4-17 from beyond the arc and 13-24 from the free throw line. Lindsey Wilson went 21-52, 7-11 from three-point range and 17-33 from the free throw line.
- LWU held a 43-34 advantage in rebounds.
- The Bobcats forced 16 turnovers, resulting in 12 points. The visitors scored 17 points off 15 turnovers.
- STU recorded 10 steals and three block versus eight steals and five blocks for the Blue Raiders.
