Miami Gardens, Fla. - The St. Thomas University Indoor Track & Field Team is set to send nine men and six women to represent the Bobcats at the National Assocciation of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship, taking place at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Fla., from Thursday, Feb. 27 to Saturday, Mar. 1.
On the men's side, Elijah Smith earned the seventh seed in the Long Jump off a 7.30 meter effort, while Anthony Rodriguez also earned a seventh position after recording 14.87 meters in the Triple Jump. Bradley Bowlin earned a spot in the 60 Meter Dash off a 6.82 time with Kenzie Knowles representing STU in the 600 Meter Run on the heels of a 1:20.61 run. The group off Mkhori Crabbe, Khamauri Crabbe, Tristan Watson,Maxwell Mesais and Jonathan Petit-Frere join Knowls and Smith for the 4x400 Meter Relay.
Khila Darrisaw qualified in a team-high two individual events for the women, earning a spot in the 60 meter dash behind a 7.62 time and 200 meter dash off a 24.69 run. Nyrania Barr-Miller qualified for the 60 meter hurdles with a 8.72 time. Emani Glover, Ahlia Sandifer, Wislande Pierre-Luis and Dominique Wilson join Barr-Miller and Darrisaw for the 4x400 Meter Relay.
