(RV) Bobcats Pull Off Huge Comeback Victory in Double Overtime Over Malone

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 7, 2025) - The (RV) St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Lacrosse team hosted NCAA DII Malone College on Friday evening in their first home meeting of the season. Down 10-4 at halftime, the Bobcats pulled off a huge comeback victory, taking the Pioneers to two overtimes and defeating them, 13-12.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Pioneers scored five goals in the first five minutes, but the Bobcats were not backing down. Jewell Milliman and Paige Peters put the Bobcats on the board with a goal each.
  • Milliman picked up another goal in the second, along with Hailey Joselyn who added a goal of her own.
  • The Bobcats were down 10-4 at the half but came into the second half ready to fight. St. Thomas held the Pioneers to no goals in the third, narrowing the gap with three of their own, one from Milliman, Joselyn and Kylie Lubrant.
  • St. Thomas kept fighting in the fourth period, notching five goals. Peters had two while Jenna Lytch, Laura Sparks, Joselyn each added one to tie the game up 12-12 at the end of regulation.
  • The Bobcats kept the fire alive in the first overtime, nearly picking up a goal that was waved off due to a violation. 
  • With 35 seconds left in the second over time, Joselyn passed to Paige Beardsley who secured the game-winnner, the Bobcats defeating the Pioneers 13-12.
  • Joselyn led the charge with four goals and an assist, followed by Milliman with three goals and Peters with two.
  • Kaitlyn Atchinson had another great performance with eight saves.
This win brings the Bobcats to 4-4 overall. Up next, they will host Warner University on Thursday, March 13th at 11 a.m. on AutoNation Field.
