Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 13, 2025) - The (RV) St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Lacrosse team faced off against fellow Sun Conference member,
Warner University late Thursday morning for another home match up. The Bobcats battled against Warner, defeating them 12-9 in the match up and earning the royal victory.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The game started slow for both the Bobcats and the Royals, remaining scoreless for the first 9 minutes of the meeting. Kylie Lubrant put the first goal on the board in favor of the Bobcats, with an assist from Alex Fernandez. The Royals quickly responded with two goals to close out the quarter in the lead over STU, 2-1.
- St.Thomas did not let that stop them. The Bobcats put up eight goals in the second quarter, including a hat trick from both Hailey Joselyn and Paige Peters in those 15 minutes. Billi Legg and Lubrant also each added goals, both assisted by Peters. The Bobcats led 9-4 heading into halftime
- The Bobcats did not extend their lead in the third, but maintained it, holding Warner to only three goals in the third.
- Legg, Lubrant, and Peters each added a goal in the final quarter, holding the Royals to only two goals.
- The Bobcats ultimately defeated the Royals in the meeting, 12-9, bringing their record to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
- Kaitlyn Atchinson notched another victory for the Bobcats, picking up 13 saves.
- Paige Peters led the team with eight points from four goals and four assists.Â
Up next, the Bobcats will travel to Savannah, Ga. to face off against SCAD-Savannah on Saturday, March 15th at 1 p.m.
