Miami Gardens, Fla. – Gabriel Lima found the back of the net in his STU debut on Thursday evening, but a pair of strikes from visiting Xavier University of Louisiana pushed them past the Men's Soccer Team in a 2-1 setback.

• Sandro Cabral stopped a shot attempt from the visitors in the 10th minute only for a Gold Rush to collect the rebound and put the ball in to give them a 1-0 lead.
• Lima capitalized on a penalty kick in the 27th minute to even the score.
• Xavier recreated their one-goal lead in the 53rd minute.

NOTEWORTHY:

• Lima ended the contest with two shots, both on target.
• Cabral stopped five shots.
