La Crosse, Wis. – Sparked by a Leenah Bigby goal on Saturday afternoon, the St. Thomas Women's Soccer team scored three goals in a 10-minute span to secure their first win of the 2025 season in a 3-0 shutout of host Viterbo.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• After 77 minutes of scoreless play, Carolina De Vega and Sierra Olivo got the ball to Bigby for the first goal of the match. 

• Natalie Woodward added to the Bobcats' lead in the 84th minute. 

• Ariana Vazquez concluded the scoring with a strike in the 87th minute. 

NOTEWORTHY: 

• Isabella Penaranda stopped six shot in her second shutout of the season 

• Julia Ezcurra took a team-high six shots with two on goal. 

• Annika Muggenburg fired four shots, all on frame. 

  
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• STU took 26 shots, 17 on target. The host tallied 12 with seven on frame. 

• The Bobcats had six corner kicks.
