Miami Gardens, Fla. – Opening the 2026 campaign at home against the number two team in the country on Wednesday evening, the St. Thomas University Women's Lacrosse Team dropped a 19-6 decision to Keiser University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Paige Peters scored the first goal of the season for the Bobcats with 12:34 remaining in the first quarter off a pass from Hailey Josleyn to even the score at 1-1, only for six-straight scores for the visitors making it 7-1. Josleyn scored the final goal of the opening frame to make it 7-2.
- Josleyn and Teagan Stapleton goals sandwiched a pair of Keiser scores in the second quarter to create a 9-4 halftime score.
- Keiser opened the second half with the opening four points of the third quarter before a Josleyn tally with 8:15 left in the frame made it 13-5. The Seahawks ended the quarter with back-to-back goals to extend their lead to 15-5.
- Jenna Lytch scored the Bobcats final goal of the night with 6:08 left to play.
NOTEWORTHY:
- The reigning Sun Conference Freshman of the Year logged three goals and one assist for four.
- Lytch logged a goal and assist on top of three ground balls.
- Kaitlyn Atchinson stopped four shots in her STU debut.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bobcats took 21 shots, 12 on goals versus 33 shots for the visitors with 20 on target.
- STU forced 21 turnovers while recoding 20 of their own.
- Keiser held a 41-31 advantage in ground balls.
- The Bobcats won nine draw controls while Keiser won 18.
