RV Men’s Soccer Drops High-Scoring Match to #22 Faulkner

Marietta, Ga. - St. Thomas University Men's Soccer lost a high-scoring neutral site game to Faulkner University early Friday evening, 2-4.

All of the scoring came in the first half on the campus of Life University. Faulkner had two early goals within the first eight minutes to give themselves the early 2-0 advantage. A few seconds after Faulkner scored their second goal, Oscar Le Guillou scored his first goal of the season at the 7:30 mark. Julien Laborde was credited with the assist. The Eagles responded with two goals of their own, and by the 34th minute, the Bobcats trailed 1-4. With less than a minute before halftime, Le Guillou responded with his second goal of the night, with this goal assisted by Okan Erkocu

Despite all of the early offense, the score sheet was empty for both teams in the second half. Ricardo Delgado was in goal for all 90 minutes of the game, and he recorded three saves. The Eagles outshot the Bobcats, 12 shots to 10. Faulkner had double the fouls compared to the Bobcats, 16 fouls to 8.

The Bobcats will remain in the Atlanta Metro area for an off day on Saturday. They will return to action Sunday in Marietta to face #9 Life University at 3:30 pm.
