WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The St. Thomas University men's tennis team drops tough road match versus Palm Beach Atlantic University by a score of 5-4. The loss drops the Bobcats to an overall record of 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in The Sun Conference.
The Bobcats came out of doubles play trailing 2-1. At second doubles,
Jeremy Bache and William Fountain were able to pick up an easy victory crushing their opponent 8-1. Third doubles dropped a tough match losing by only a break of serve 9-7.
The Bobcats were able to split singles play winning throughout the middle of their lineup. Andrew Rifkin and William Fountain both picked up impressive 3 set victories at third and fourth singles. Kenneth Evans was able to win rather convincingly at fifth singles winning 6-2, 6-4.
The men are back in action on March 4th against St. Vincent College. The match will be played at home at 10:00 am.
