Corey Estrada got the start for the Bobcats cruising through the top of the first.  With Yasel Gomez leading off the top of the first, he took the first pitch he saw off the batting cages located behind the left field wall here at Esposito Stadium.

“I got a fastball inside” replied Gomez when asked about his homerun, “I was looking for that pitch, a pitch to drive.”

The Seahawks were able to do some damage in the top of the second as Joshua Leo and Rolando Bello hit back to back homeruns, Leo doing it with a runner on, giving them a 3-1 lead.

The lead was short lived as the Bobcats were able to string together a 4 run rally in the top of the second.  With two outs, the speedy Robert Rodriguez was able to get on with an RBI dribbler to 3rd base. Scoring Elio Rey.  After a Gomez walk and Hector Bello being hit by a pitch, Ricky Claudio came to the plate and delivered a 2 run RBI single.  Clean up hitter Kevin Mirabal followed with a single to left bringing home Bello. The Bobcats were able to retake the lead scoring 4 runs on 4 hits leading 5-3.

As the sunset on Esposito Field so did the Bobcats lead, as the Seahawks were able to score 4 runs in the fifth and sixth innings.  They added another run in the eighth and one in the ninth leading by a 13-6 going into the bottom of the ninth.  The Bobcats were down but attempted to scratch their way back into the game with a 3 run ninth inning but left the bases loaded.

In the end the Seahawks were able to hold on winning 13-9.  Jake Kutsuko earned the W for Northwood pitching seven strong innings striking out 3 and walking 2.
