Fort Myers, Fla. - St. Thomas Baseball is back in the postseason, as the Sun Conference Tournament begins on Thursday, April 30 against Southeastern.

The Sun Conference Tournament will be from Thursday, April 30 to Sunday, May 3. It is a double-elimination tournament taking place in Fort Myers at JetBlue Park, the Spring Training home of the Boston Red Sox. Games will be streamed on the Urban Edge Network. The seeding of the teams involved is:
1. Webber International University
2. Southeastern University
3. Keiser University
4. Warner University
5. St. Thomas University
6. Ave Maria University
Matchup against Southeastern:
The Bobcats will face the Fire in their first matchup of the tournament at 2:30 pm on Thursday, April 30. In theie series earlier this year, these two teams split the series. Daytan Biegel had a big series against Southeastern, going 9-for-14 against them earlier this year. Ismael Cordoba is the probable starter for the Bobcats (6-4, 2.31 ERA), and Peyten Czekalewski (4-0, 4.50 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Fire. The winner of the game will play on Friday, May 1 at 6:00 pm against the winner of Keiser and Warner. The loser of this game will play against the loser of Webber International and Ave Maria in an elimination game on Friday at 11:00 am
All-Conference Honorees:
Four Bobcats were selected to the Sun Conference All-Conference team. Ismael Cordoba was named Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year, as well as First Team All-Conference as a starting pitcher. He led the Sun Conference in ERA, with a 2.31 ERA in 70 innings.
Eddie Novoa was named First Team All-Conference as a catcher. Novoa led Sun Conference catchers in hitting, with a .376 average. Daytan Biegel was also named to the First Team All-Conference as an outfielder. Biegel has the 6th highest OPS in the conference at 1.054, and was tied with the 7th most home runs with 7. Luis Morera was named to the Second Team All-Conference team as a second baseman. Morera had an .846 OPS with 5 home runs.
