Box Score STU 9, WIU 6 Final.

In a wild game that saw 31 hits over nine innings of play, St. Thomas came on top beating Webber International by a final score of 9-6. 

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the 6th, Giovanni Zayas singled to left field bringing home Nicholas Perez and Adam Duarte from second and third, respectively. Michael De Jesus added two more in the inning, doubling down the right field line to score Oscar Romero and Steven Rodriguez, pinch-running for Zayas. 

A couple of base hits in the seventh inning by the Warriors tied the game at 4-4, but the Bobcats bounced back in the bottom of the inning starting with a bases loaded RBI walk from Zayas that forced Duarte home. A 2-RBI single from Romero brought home Edwin Rolon and Jerry Downs, followed by a steal at home plate by Rodridguez that put STU back on top, 9-4.

WIU would add two more runs in the top of the eighth, but it was not enough to defeat STU.

With the win, St. Thomas improves to 22-6 on the season.
