MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. – St. Thomas men's tennis faced off against no. 1 Embry-Riddle in a Sun Conference duel. The top ranked Eagles proved to be too much for STU as the Bobcats fell 0-7. STU's Arturo Romero and Matias Dasso picked up a doubles win, while Juan Bravo played in a three-set marathon.

Though the Bobcats picked up a win in doubles competition, they lost the doubles point to Embry-Riddle. Bravo and Grover Ordonez were tasked with taking on the no. 1 team of Deni Zmak and Simon Felix, losing 8-1. On court three, Romero and Dasso earned a hard fought win. After the two teams traded games, a tie-breaker was needed to settle the score, with the Bobcats coming out on top 9-8 (7-4).

Singles competition was not kind to the Bobcats as they had to take on three ranked opponents. Nicolas Etienne faced off against no. 1 Zmak on court one, falling 8-1, 8-1. In the no. 3 singles match up, Ordonez fought hard in the first set but eventually lost to no. 18 Simon Felix, 6-4, 6-0. Joshua Rosner took on no. 38 Miguel Lopez-Gomez of Embry-Riddle on court five, falling 6-3, 6-2.
