Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 6^th, 2019) – (RV) St. Thomas University Men's Tennis (1-2) won the team's first Sun Conference match-up of the season in a thrilling 5-4 match versus the Southeastern University Fire on Wednesday night.

• Kevin Cubela earned his victories of the season in singles as well as doubles action on the Bruce Buccholz Court One. In the singles match, Cubela won (6-3, 6-2) versus Felipe Barbosa. In doubles competition, Cubela teamed with Mauricio Fernandez and earned the victory (8-5).
• Rasmus Lindstrom won his singles match-up versus Santiago Haas, (6-2,6-0) on court two.
• Quintella dropped his match-up against Marcheschi, 1-6 in both sets.
• Fabrice Bissainthe lost his match as well, falling (1-6,3-6).
• Jacobo Nieto won a dramatic, three-set match-up which lasted for over five hours, as Nieto won (7-6, 4-6 and 6-3) in the match that decided the Bobcats singles win.
• On court six, Damian Etchevest took on Thomas Ortega, with Etchevest winning the match in straight sets (6-4, 6-3)
• In doubles action, Lindstrom paired with Quintella and the duo lost their match (8-9)
• The third doubles match, teamed Bissainthe and Nieto together. The two dropped their match (2-8).

St. Thomas University will travel to Savannah, Georgia to take on SCAD-Savannah in Sun Conference action on Saturday, February 9^th with the matches scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
