KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 4, 2020) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2021 Preseason Top-25 Coaches' Poll earlier this morning. St. Thomas University (STU) Baseball was tabbed as the No. 4 team in the country.

The bi-weekly coaches' poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.

St. Thomas enters the 2021 season with the program's third-highest pre-season ranking, having been ranked No. 2 in both the 2016 and 2020 pre-season polls. Before the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns and a global pandemic, STU was 19-5-1 and 5-0-1 in the Sun Conference.

The top-five teams in the 2021 Preseason Coaches' Poll are No. 1 Southeastern, No. 2 Science & Arts (OK.), No. 3 Georgia Gwinnett, No. 4 STU, No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan.

In the previous five seasons, since 2016, the Bobcats have gone 197-70-1, establishing a program record for wins (56) in 2018, advanced to the NAIA World Series three-times and played in two NAIA National Championship games.

St. Thomas is one of four Sun Conference teams to be ranked or receiving votes in the 2021 Preseason Poll, trailing No. 1 Southeastern. The Bobcats and Fire are joined by No. 15 Keiser and (RV) Webber International University.
