Box Score 2 MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 11, 2020) - No. 4 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Baseball completed a doubleheader sweep against Bryant & Stratton College (5-10-1) on Wednesday afternoon from Paul Demie Mainieri Field. No. 4 STU won game one, 8-1, and completed the sweep, by winning, 9-1 in game two.

- Pope-Diaz made his first career collegiate start in game one of the doubleheader against Bryant & Stratton. The red-shirt sophomore lasted five innings and struck out one.
- STU quickly got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning, as Rivero plated Thompson on a sacrifice fly.
- Pope-Diaz ran into a jam in the top of the second inning, allowing consecutive hits, before inducing a double play.
- BSC tied the game, later in the inning, scoring on a wild pitch.
- Rivero picked up his second RBI of the game in the bottom of the third inning, driving in Lopez with an RBI single, as STU took a 2-1 lead.

- Izquierdo added another run for STU in the bottom of the fifth inning, driving in Kafele Thomas on a fielder's choice.
- Both Rivero and Izquierdo scored in the inning, as well, extending the STU lead to 7-1.
- Miguel Rodriguez entered in relief of Pope-Diaz in the top of the sixth inning and pitched the final two frames for STU.
- Orlando Borrotto recorded his first RBI of the season, pinch-hitting in the bottom of the sixth inning and driving in Brett Mantrana.
- Rodriguez worked around a lead-off error and sealed the 8-1 win for STU.

- Padron made his home debut and first career collegiate start in game two of the doubleheader, setting down the first three batters he faced in order.
- In the bottom of the first inning, the STU offense erupted, scoring five runs and breaking the game open early.
- Thompson led off the inning with a double to left-field.
- Following consecutive outs from Lopez and Khawly; Rivero walked, and Mondejar reached on an infield single to load the bases
- Borroto blasted a double off the left-center field wall, clearing the bases and extending the STU lead to 4-0.
- Martinez followed with a double of his own, scoring Borroto, and capping off a five-run opening frame.
