Box Score 2 LAKE WALES, Fla. (March 5, 2020) - No. 2 St. Thomas University (15-3) won both games of a doubleheader to open the Warner Tournament on Thursday afternoon. The Bobcats defeated No. 7 Bellevue (8-9) 6-3 and beat (RV) Madonna (14-9) 3-1 in seven-inning contests from Warner's Baseball field.

- No. 7 Bellevue jumped all over Pino from the beginning of the game, as the first four Bruins all reached base, as BU took a 1-0 lead.
- Pino induced a double play, forcing in another Bellevue run and BU added a third run with an RBI double before Pino escaped the inning and allowed three runs.
- The three runs ended Pino's scoreless inning streak at 19 and raised his ERA to 1.24.
- St. Thomas broke through with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, as Perdomo, with the bases-loaded, drove in Kafele Thomas and Fernandez to put the score at 3-2.
- Pino finished his outing with a strong fifth inning, keeping STU in the game.
- Lowry led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a single and advanced to third on a single by Lopez.
- Khalwy tied the contest the following at-bat, driving in Lowry on a double play, 3-3.
- Luis Gonzalez struck out two Bruins in his lone inning of work, entering the game in relief in the sixth inning.
- Vazquez drove a ball over the left-center field wall, his first home run of the season, giving St. Thomas a 5-3 advantage, in the bottom of the sixth.
- Lowry doubled down the left-field line and scored on a Lopez RBI single, as STU scored an insurance run and extended the lead to 6-3.
- Jason Grana entered the game in the top of the seventh inning, retiring the Bruins in order, to pick up his third save of the season.

- STU began the game by going down in order in the first three innings
- Kenyon made his third career start and retired 6-of-7 hitters to open the game.
- Madonna plated their only run of the game in the third inning, as back-to-back hits, resulting in a 1-0 MU lead.
- Lopez led off the fourth inning with a double, setting himself in scoring position as the Bobcats looked to tie the game.Â
- Two batters later, Rivero brought in Lopez on an RBI groundout, tying the game, 1-1.
- Kenyon sent the Crusaders down in order in the bottom of the fourth inning, preserving the STU momentum.
- Thompson blasted his second home run of the season, extending his hitting streak to eight games, and putting the Bobcats in front, 2-1.
- Later in the top of the fifth, Guerra drove in Mondejar on an RBI single to center, putting STU in front 3-1.
- Kenyon recorded his third 1-2-3 inning of the game in the fifth.
- Kenyon finished his day by setting the Crusaders down in order in the sixth inning and left in line for his first career win.
- Grana entered for the second time on the afternoon and picked up his fourth save of the season, as the Bobcats swept the doubleheader.
