Four STU Spirit Signees

STU CHEER & DANCE ADDS FOUR SIGNEES

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (April 8, 2020) - St. Thomas University Cheerleading & Dance introduce four signees, as, Alanna Rufino, Lauren Alcindor, Valentina Benoit, and Seyda Morazon have committed to be a part of Bobcats Cheerleading & Dance, announces Head Coach, Jahaira Villalobos.

Rufino, a South Florida-native, also dances out of the New World School of The Arts and will pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, upon enrollment at STU. 

Alcindor joins the Bobcats Dance team after one year at Lone Star Community College in Houston, TX. While in high school, Alcindor excelled in the classroom and on the dance floor, as she was named to the honor roll each year. In her junior and senior years, Alcindor was a solo finalist at the Officer Super Sweepstakes. Alcindor plans to pursue a Nursing degree, upon enrollment at St. Thomas.

Benoit, a transfer from Florida International University, has signed to be a flyer on the Bobcats Cheerleading team. During her time at Florida International, Benoit was a recipient of the FIU cheerleading book scholarship for three years. Upon enrollment at St. Thomas, Benoit will continue her pursuit of a Nursing degree. 

Morazon comes to STU as a dual-athlete, also as part of the track & field program. Morazon, originally from Honduras, cheered in high school at Hialeah Gardens Senior High School, as a flyer or base. Upon enrollment at STU, Morazon will pursue a degree in Business Management.
