LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. (February 6, 2021) - No. 4 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Baseball (1-3) wrapped up play in the Southeast Rumble with a 16-10 loss against No. 8 University of the Cumberlands (1-0) on Saturday morning from the Grizzly Football Complex.

Game Notes
- The Bobcats scored the first run of the contest, as Mondejar scored on an RBI single from Lowry in the top of the second inning.
- STU extended the lead to 2-0 on an RBI single by Lopez to score Lowry.
- No. 8 Cumberlands quickly tied the game in the bottom of the frame, scoring the first run with an RBI single before tying the game with a double later in the inning.
- Â The Patriots batted around their lineup, scoring six runs in the bottom of the third to take a 7-2 lead over STU.
- St. Thomas began to come back into the game in the top of the fourth inning.
- Khawly opened the inning with a double to left field and quickly scored on an RBI single from Mondejar, putting the score at 7-3.
- Rangel added a two-run base hit to left field, which scored Mondejar and Lowry to bring the Bobcats within two runs, 7-5.
- UC responded with an RBI triple in the bottom half of the frame, making the score 8-5 in favor of the Patriots.
- Mondejar and Lowry added RBIs to their totals, as Mondejar brought in Emanuel Montesino with a single. Lowry scored Estevez with a sacrifice fly, putting the score at 9-7 in the top of the seventh inning.
- Richard Sanchez made his second appearance of the early season for STU in the bottom half of the seventh.
- UC scored five runs on seven hits to take a 14-7 lead over STU.
- Estevez plated Rangel and Rivero with a two-run base hit in the eighth and scored the final Bobcat run of the game due to a Patriots' error.
- Cumberlands scored two more runs in the bottom of the eighth and closed out the game in the ninth, winning 16-10 over STU.
