CORAL GABLES, Fla. (March 19, 2021) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's and Women's Track & Field programs are competing in the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational on Saturday, March 20. The Bobcats are represented by
Isaac Joseph,
Marvin Williams,
Pamela Sanders-Booker, and
Trinity Dunbar.
Joseph, the reigning Sun Conference Track Athlete of the Week, has already qualified for the Sun Conference Championship Meet by posting a 10.69s run in the 100-meter dash and a 21.79s time in the 200m. The junior from Haiti has won four events on the season for STU and looks to qualify for the NAIA National Championship meet.Â
Williams joins Joseph as a Men's representative for St. Thomas. Â Williams competed with
Peterley Louis,
Elijah Hernandez, and Joseph to win the 1600m relay at the second South Florida Collegiate Challenge on Tuesday, March 9.
Sanders-Booker has earned several wins for the STU Women's Track & Field team in three events in 2021. Sanders-Booker opened the campaign with two wins, winning the 400m dash, and claiming a victory in the 400m relay in the inaugural South Florida Collegiate Challenge on Sunday, February 21. Sanders-Booker earned a berth in the Sun Conference Championship with a qualifying time of 59.11s in the 400m dash and qualified in the 200m dash (25.31s).
Dunbar earned a spot in the Sun Conference Championship in the Long Jump on Tuesday, March 9, in the South Florida Collegiate Meet.
