Track And Field Heads To NAIA Indoor Championships

Miami Gardens, Fla. - Returning to the site where they made history with their best showing at the Sun Conference Championship, the St. Thomas University Men's and Women's Track and Field Programs head to Alachua County Sports & Events Center for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Indoor National Championship from Mar. 5-7.

The Bobcats make their return to Gainesville, Fla., after winning the 2025-26 Men's Indoor Championship there on Feb. 21 while the Women placed second. STU swept the Most Valuable Performer Awards at the Conference Championship with Johnathan Petit-Frere earning the award on the Men's side while Tonyan Beckford won MVP and Freshman of the Year on the Women's.

Under the leadership of Sun Conference Coach of the Year Joey Scott, the Men have a record 13 qualifiers for the National Championship with Elijah Smith boasting the best Long Jump time in the NAIA this season behind a mark of 7.82 m. View the complete list for the men here:

For the women, Nyrania Barr-Biller and Dominique Wilson both qualified for the three events with five Bobcats making the trip to Gainesville. View the list for the women here:
