MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (April 23, 2021) - No. 18 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Baseball (30-17) lost the opener in the Sun Conference Series of the Week against No. 2 Southeastern University 10-6 on Friday night from Paul Demie Mainieri Field.
Before the game, St. Thomas University honored former coach and Bobcat Hall of Famer Manny Mantrana with a moment of silence following his passing. STU Athletics offers its condolences to Coach Mantrana's wife, daughter, and family.

- Pino, the Bobcats ace, opened the game with back-to-back strikeouts.
- SEU responded with two straight hits, threatening to score the game's first runs with both runners in scoring position.
- Pino induced a groudout to first base, ending the Fire threat.
- Montesino recorded the first hit of the game for STU, and stole second base.
- A Rangel walk, followed by a fielder's choice groundout from Mondejar, put a pair of runners in scoring position for the Bobcats.
