Box Score WALESKA, Ga. – The no. 17 St. Thomas University (STU) Baseball team (4-0) bolstered their way in the 2019 rematch of the title game against no. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan University (4-1) picking up the upset victory, 9-1, in game one of the Southeast Rumble hosted by Reinhardt University.

- Gio Soto got the starting nod for the Bobcats for the second time this season.
- St. Thomas scored in five of the nine innings, putting up crooked numbers in three of those five.
- Ezequiel Valdez got the offensive going in the second inning blasting his first homerun as a Bobcat.
- The two-run shot put STU in the driver's seat, and they never looked back.
- Tennessee Wesleyan erased one of the runs in the bottom half of the second to make it 2-1.
- The bats came alive in the later innings starting in the top half of the sixth.
- Josue Rangel had a big RBI-double that gave St. Thomas some insurance.
