BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 5, 2022) - The 10th ranked St. Thomas University Baseball (28-7, 10-2 SUN) team drops the season series against Lynn University (22-13). Lynn took the first game of the home-and-home 14-8, while taking game two 12-4. 

Game Notes 

St. Thomas jumped on the board first as Josue Rangel and Andrew Fernandez scored on a Robin Fernandez triple down the right field line.

Lynn got their first run on the board in the bottom of the second.

The Fighting Knights continued to add insurance and take the lead in the bottom of the third and fourth scoring four and two, respectively.

The lead continued to extend with another crooked number inning for Lynn in the bottom of the sixth to make it 12-3.

The Bobcats scratched for a run in the final frame as Joey Thompson led off with a double down the left field line and Rangel drove him in with a single to center field.

The Bobcats will travel to Lakeland, Fla. to get back to Sun Conference play taking on no. 1 Southeastern University in a three game series. Two games will be played Friday starting at 3 p.m. with Saturday's starting time scheduled for 12 p.m.
