MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 21, 2023) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Tennis (3-2) got back on track picking up their third win of the season to move above .500. The Bobcats cruised past Florida National University (0-1) 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon from the STU Tennis Courts.

Courts one and two took care of business during doubles play to secure the first point of the match. Raul Safont Martinez and Carlos Vidal took court one in comeback fashion 7-6 (7-3). Oliver Andersson and Max Grygolowicz dominated court two and took it 6-2.

Singles play finished in court order with Safont Martinez getting the first win on one 6-1, 6-4. Bernando Tajada cruised on two 6-3, 6-1. Vidal clinched the match on three taking it 6-1, 6-4.

The Bobcats closed out the match taking two of the final three courts. Grygolowicz made it four straight singles wins taking court six 6-0, 6-2. Jakub Federowicz finished the day with a three set thriller winning back to back sets after falling behind on a tie breaker first set.

STU will head to the Racer Classic in Ohio and continue to put their talents to the test taking on ranked opponents.
