GAINESVILLE, Fla. (February 17, 2024) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Track and Field team competed at the Sun Conference Indoor Championships this weekend, placing fourth overall with a score of 86.
Isabella Marty had a standout performance in the 1 Mile Run, coming in 2nd place with a time of 5:34.46. Marty was also part of the 4x800 Relay team that placed in 3rd, alongside Emily Holzer, Camille Barron and Christian Pommells. Holzer and Marty also participated in the Distance Medley, alongside Ahlia Sandifer and Wislande Pierre-Louis. The Bobcats placed second in the Distance Medley with a time of 14:08.19.
In field events, the Bobcats had a few standout performers. Pommells participated in the Women's Pentathlon Shot Put event, placing 1st with a distance of 9.64m. Toynelle Ming participated in the regular Shot Put event, placing 2nd with a distance of 12.26m. Melora St. Fleur participated alongside Ming, placing fourth with a distance of 11.87m.
