MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Lady Bobcats welcomed #4 Embry-Riddle to the court Friday, but found the Eagles to be a tough opponent and were outlasted, 8-0.
The Lady Bobcats improved in each of their subsequent doubles match but could not get a point towards their overall score. The first pairing of Manuela Gil and Ydsia Quintero lost 8-1, the second pairing of Bridget Castillo and Stephanie Pfeffer fell 8-2, and the final pairing of Camille Allen and Alina Ramirez were defeated 8-3.
In singles action, the ladies were swept with all games going just two sets despite some battles. Quintero fought hard in the second set but dropped it 6-3 and Maria Giovanardi tried to grab a point late for the Bobcats but dropped her seccond set 6-4.
The ladies fall to 1-4 (1-2 TSC) and will face Webber Int'l Friday at 10:30 a.m.
