The St. Thomas University Lady Bobcats were on the road this afternoon looking to capture their first win of the season against Lynn University. The Lady Bobcats were unsuccessful in obtaining that elusive win, dropping both games of the double header. The two scores were 6-2 and 2-1, dropping their record to 0-8. In Game 1, Bobcat pitcher Amanda Heyl was able to go the distance, but unable to get the win, dropping here record to 0-2 for the season. Melissa King drove in both runs for the Bobcats in defeat.
Game two of the double header was much closer, with once again the Bobcats on the wrong side of the score. Gina Guffanti started the game, going four innings and giving up two earned runs. She was relieved by Bianca Isolino, who finished out the game with two scoreless innings. The lone Bobcat run was driven in by Jessica Vera on a sacrifice fly. The Lady Bobcats will continue the quest for their first win next Wednesday when they take on Florida Tech University at 1 PM.
