The St. Thomas Lady Bobcats dropped the first game of a weekend series with Webber International tonight 2-0. The Bobcats and pitcher Gina Guffanti were able to get out of a based loaded, no out first inning jam only allowing a single run. The Bobcats were just unable to get anything going offensively. They had two different runners picked off first base, one in the first inning and another in the fifth.

            The Webber Warriors were able to add an insurance run in the top of the sixth. The best scoring chance for the Bobcats was in the bottom of the last inning as they loaded the bases with two outs. The Bobcats were unable to push any runs across the game and took the loss in the first game of the three game series. The Bobcats will look to avenge the loss tomorrow on Senior Day as they complete the series against Webber. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
