The St. Thomas Lady Bobcats took on Nova Southeastern University this afternoon at Bobcat Field. The Bobcats fell in both games of the double header: 9-0, 8-2. The Bobcats fell behind early in game number one giving up six runs in the 2nd inning followed by another three in the 3rd. The Bobcats were unable to get any offense going as well, finishing the game with only two hits.
In game two, the Bobcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning off RBIs from Cindy Castrillon and Jenny Sanchez. The Bobcats were unable to hold onto their lead allowing two runs in the 3rd inning. The Nova Southeastern Sharks then took the lead on two more runs in the 4th before tacking on a few more later, winning 8-2. The Lady Bobcats will get back into conference play when they travel to Edward Waters for a weekend series.
