ORLANDO, Fla. - The St. Thomas Women's Tennis team (8-5) defeated 22nd ranked SCAD-Atlanta (4-2) in a neutral site match in Orlando, one day after defeating 21st ranked Southeastern (7-5) on the road in Lakeland.

In the win over SCAD-Atlanta, the Bobcats jumped out to an advantage with wins in doubles competition by the number two team of Cassandra Lemieux and Victoria Slavina (8-4) and the number three team of Cynthia Diaz and Naomi Maehama (8-4). STU then won four of the six singles matches with wins by Victoria Slavina (no. 1 singles, DNP), Maria Dimitrova (no. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-2), Maehama (no. 5 singles 6-1, 7-6) and Diaz (no. 6 singles 6-1, 6-0).
   
In the Southeastern match, Lemieux and Victoria Slavina won number two doubles 8-4 with Diaz and Maehama winning number three doubles 8-4. 

Singles wins came from Dimitrova (6-0, 6-0), Maehama (6-3, 7-6, 7-4) and Diaz (6-0, 6-2).

The Bobcats return home for their next match on Tuesday vs. Xavier (La,).  St. Thomas will host The Sun Conference Championships at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Fla. April 21-23.
