Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The 22nd ranked St. Thomas University Women's Tennis team rolled to a 8-1 win over Sun Conference opponent Warner on Saturday at the STU Tennis Courts.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play.  Victoria Slavina and Andrea Gonzalez won number one doubles in a tight 8-6 match. The number two doubles team of Cassandra Lemieux and Mariah Bastos won 8-2, while Cynthia Diaz and Naomi Maehama won 8-3 in number three doubles.

The Bobcats then won five of the six singles matches with Slavina (no. 1), Lemieux (no. 2), Gonzalez (no. 3), Diaz (no. 4) and Natdeilys de Armas Acosta (no. 6) all winning their matches.

Four of the five wins by the Bobcats in singles came in straight sets.

STU returns to action with a conference match vs. Ave Maria on Wednesday at the STU Tennis Courts.
