MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (July 15th, 2019) - For the second consecutive year, St. Thomas University men's and women's tennis coach Bruce Carrington was selected as the Coach of Character nominee. Carrington has been with the Bobcats for 21 years and has rotated the responsibilities and power of authority that comes with being a coach to teach his players character.

"His humble, character-driven approach has resulted in developing several leaders, including alum Adrian Escarte, who traded in his tennis shirt for a suit to march on Capitol Hill to pass the new Dream and Promise Act of 2019," said Laura Courtly-Todd, Director of Athletics at St. Thomas.

The nomination at the Sun Conference level, sends Coach Carrington for NAIA National competition as the Coach of Character award recipient.
