MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 24, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Beach Volleyball (1-2, 1-2 TSC) lost in Sun Conference play to Ave Maria University (2-1, 2-1 TSC), 3-2, from the Dominick Miniaci Beach Volleyball Courts on the campus of St. Thomas University.
Hannah Symonds and
Mya Thomas were victorious in the first match of the afternoon for STU, as the duo defeated Pena and Bouterse of Ave Maria (15-21, 21-17, 16-14). The pairing of
Arianna Bolinger and
Kendall Brock lost in three sets (21-15, 16-21, 15-12) to Schein and Grosso.
Kamden Maas and
Sofia Adorno earned a two-set victory over the Gyrenes (22-20, 22-20) over Rusterholtz and Grose. Taytumn Schlegel-Ridgway and
Mia Thomas lost their match in two sets (15-21, 7-21) to Suarez and O'Donell. In the last match-up of the day,
Ivana Jiron and
Karla Delgado were defeated (17-21, 25-27).
