Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (April 16, 2021) – The 24^th ranked, St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis team fall to the Florida National University (FNU) Conquistadors on Friday afternoon from the STU Tennis Courts. The Bobcats recognized the senior class of Alexandria Curry, Mariah Bastos, Giovanna Paschoalin, and Amber Paterson prior to the game.
 
Doubles

• Annie Carrera and Amber Paterson fell in a tough match on court one, 6-7.
• Manami Maehama made her home debut for the season pairing with Vanessa Centeno on court two. Maehama and Centeno fell 4-6.
• Mariah Bastos and Giovanna Paschoalin teamed up on court three and after falling behind 4-1 early, fell just short of a comeback losing 5-7.
• Florida National took the double points sweeping all three courts.

Singles

• Carrera advanced to a four-match win streak after defeating FNU's Perd 6-2, 6-3.
• Paterson moves to the two slot falls to Simone in tiebreaker fashion, 3-6, 6-2, [9].
• Centeno falls on court three 0-6, 3-6.
• Paschoalin was winning 6-2, 2-0 before having to forfeit the match after sustaining and injury mid-match.
• Thalia Skeene made the singles lineup on court five and took the match over Guzman, 7-5, 6-2.
• Sofia De La Fuente fell on court six 3-6, 3-6.

The Bobcats will complete Sun Conference competition tomorrow, April 17^th at home against the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners, doubles will begin at 10 a.m. With a win STU would secure the fourth seed and head to the Sun Conference Tournament in Brunswick, Ga. on Thursday April 29th - Friday, April 30th.
