MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (November 27, 2023) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball team is set to host Florida National University on Tuesday, November 28th. This will be the Bobcats' second match up against the Conquistadors this season, this time at home in the Fernandez Family Center.
The Bobcats faced the Conquistadors on the road earlier in November, defeating them 91-74. During the game, the Bobcats showed their versatility and drive, trailing early and ultimately taking the lead to finish the first half. The Bobcats were able to keep the lead to finish off the game, Ke'Ajia Williams and Bria Brown leading the team in scoring with 19 and 14 points respectively.
In 2022, the Bobcats defeated the Conquistadors 80-53. Seniors Bria Brown and Brooke Bogatz were two of the five starters during the game. Bogatz was the second leading scorer with 14 points. The Conquistadors are 1-4 this season, falling to both Keiser University and Florida Memorial, two teams that the Bobcats will face during Sun Conference play.

Brooke Bogatz recently hit an impressive milestone of 1,000 career points. She is consistently on the leaderboard, leading the Bobcats with 97 points across six games, including 14 three-pointers.

In their last match up against the Conquistadors, Ke'Ajia Williams led the team in scoring with 19 points. Williams is also second in blocks for the Bobcats with 10, following closely behind Paige McDonald who has 14.

Bria Brown is second in scoring this season for the Bobcats with 77 points. Brown has the most three-point attempts of the Bobcats squad, notching 11 so far this season.
Up next, the Bobcats will head to Florida Atlantic University for an Exhibition match against the NCAA Division I Owls. The game will take place in Boca Raton, Fla. on Tuesday, December 5th at 7 p.m.
