MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 20, 2024) - After a two-game road stint, the St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball team will return home to face host Keiser University for their last home match of regular season. The Bobcats will be celebrating their five seniors at the game: Brooke Bogatz, Marta Franco, Bria Brown, Camilla Flefil, and Lucy Mahnken.
The Bobcats are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the Sun Conference, boasting a 9-3 conference record and a 19-6 overall record. Southeastern University and Ave Maria University both have a 9-3 conference record, after the Bobcats split the series against both teams.
Keiser is currently sitting at fourth place in the Sun Conference, with a record of 8-4. In their last meeting, the Bobcats fell to the Seahawks, 56-70. Paige McDonald led the charge for the Bobcats, scoring 15 points against the Seahawks. Bogatz and Franco recorded a double figure performance, Franco putting up 11 points and Bogatz with 10. Sophie Vandyke had a standout performance defensively, recording nine rebounds. St. Thomas leads in series history, with 26 wins and 10 losses. The Bobcats are nearly undefeated at home against the Seahawks, with a record of 14-2 when they have the home court advantage. The Bobcats will face the Seahawks on Wednesday, February 21st at 5:30 p.m. in the Fernandez Family Center.

Brooke Bogatz had a stellar week with two double figure performances against Southeastern and Ave Maria. Bogatz notched a double-double performance against the Fire, recording 20 points and 13 rebounds, also picking up five assists. Bogatz also had 14 points against the Gyrenes, adding 5 more assists to her tally of 107 for the season.

Camilla Flefil also had two double figure performances against Ave Maria and Southeastern. Flefil scored 16 points against the Gyrenes and 12 points against the Fire, crossing the 200-point mark in points this season.

Marta Franco was a key player in the Bobcats victory over Southeastern, notching 23 points and three steals against the Fire. Franco also put up nine points against the Gyrenes, recording four steals during the game, adding to her tally of 42 steals this season.
