MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 6, 2024) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Beach Volleyball team is set to kick off their season in the next few weeks to start have a season filled with sandy showdowns against various NAIA opponents. The Bobcats are set to finish 8th in the Sun Conference according to the 2024 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

St. Thomas will open the season with two Sun Conference match ups at home. The courts will witness the clash between The Bobcats and crosstown rivals Florida Memorial University. The match will take place on Friday, February 23rd, at 10 a.m. The excitement continues in the afternoon when the Bobcats take on Southeastern University at 2 p.m. 

Later in the season, the Bobcats will head to Ave Maria, Fla. for three match ups against fellow NAIA competitors. St. Thomas will take on the University of Mobile, William Carey University, and Loyola University (La.). 

The rivalry continues March 15th when the Bobcats return to face Florida Memorial for the second time this season. After facing the Lions, the Bobcats will face the Ave Maria University Gyrenes, in another crucial beach volleyball game. The battle for supremacy in The Sun Conference heats up as teams strive for victory on the sandy shores. 

The Bobcats will head to Laurinburg, NC for back-to-back beach volleyball matches against Truett McConnell University and St. Andrews University. The early morning game sets the tone for an action-packed day on the sand. These match ups will take place on Friday, March 22nd.  

St. Thomas will head to Babson Park, Fla. on Friday, March 29th to close out regular season play with two Sun Conference match ups. The Bobcats will face off against Warner University to continue Sun Conference play. The final beach volleyball match up before the conference tournament sees STU Bobcats taking on Webber International University. It's a crucial game as teams make their last push for a strong finish on the sandy courts. 

The grand finale of the beach volleyball season awaits as the Bobcats enter The Sun Conference Tournament. The Tournament will take place on Friday, April 5th, and continuing to Saturday, April 6th.
