Box Score MARIETTA, Ga. (March 16, 2024) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Lacrosse team continued their road stint on Saturday afternoon with a match up against #6 Life University. After a tough battle, the Bobcats fell to the Eagles 18-7.
The Bobcats and Eagles were neck and neck in the first half, with a score of 5-5 heading into the intermission. E'Mya Miller led the charge with two goals. Kaitlyn Chmelir, Kylie Lubrant, and HeavenLee Nichols each notched a goal in the first half. Miller and Chmelir also both recorded an assist, putting Miller at three points for the half and Chmelir at two for the half. Jorja Schooler also had a great first half, picking up three ground balls and three cause turnovers.
The Eagles took the lead into the 3rd quarter, putting up eight goals. Life held the Bobcats to no goals in the third, with a score of 13-5 heading into the final quarter. Chmelir picked up another goal in quarter four, attempting to mount a comeback against Life. Jenna Lytch also added to the Bobcats' tally, assisted by Olivia Parker. Ultimately, the Eagles took home the win, defeating the Bobcats 18-7.
