The Men's Track and Field team Competed against seven other teams at the STU Under the Lights Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats finished in first, dominating the event with many participants securing national qualifier statuses.
The Bobcats had a few standout performers during the meet. In Hurdles, the Bobcats earned two first-place finishes.
Tristan Simmons placed first in the Men's 110m Hurdles while Thomas Smith placed in first for the Men's 400m Hurdles. Jabes Jimenez and
Osvaldo Cruz both earned the silver in their respective distance races, Jimenez finishing in second in the Men's 1500m with a time of 4:10.98 and Cruz in the Men's 5000m with a time of 18:04.42. Caleb Shakespeare,
Jalen Tanner, and
Raynaldo Narcisse had great outings in their events, each of them earning a third place finish. Shakespeare took third in the Men's 100m Dash, Tanner in the Men's 200m Dash and Narcisse in the Men's 800m Run. In field events,
David Kellier dominated, taking first place in two events, the Men's Shot Put and the Men's Discus.
