Track & Field Take Second At Sun Conference Indoor Championships

Miami Gardnes, Fla. – Despite heading into the final event of the 2025 Sun Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in first place, the St. Thoman University Men's Team finished second overall while the Women's Team also turned in a runner-up showing.
 
INSIDE THE MEET:
FINAL (WOMEN):
 St. Thomas, 2nd of seven teams
FINAL (MEN): St. Thomas, 2nd of eight teams

HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN): 
  • Jordan Morse won the Pole Vault behind a 3.60m showing.
  • Khila Darrisaw finished second in the 200 Meter Dash with a 24.69 time and third in the 60 Meter Dash behind a 7.62 sprint.
  • Ahlia Sandifer took second in the 400 Meter Dash using a 58.71 time and third in the 600 Meter Run off a 1:40.20 finish.
  • Savianna Joseph finished .03 meters behind first place to take second in the Shot Put with a 12.09m performance.
  • Nyra Barr-Miller brought home the silver in the Pentathlon with 2644 points and the 60 Meter Hurdles off an 8.72 time.
  • LaKeisa Manning earned third place in the Triple Jump with an 11.17m effort.
  • The Bobcats; 4x400 Meter Relay team of Dominique Wilson, Wislande Pierre-Louise, Emani Glover and Sandifer placed second with a combined time of 3:58.45.
  • The Distance Medley quartet o Kaycie Aquilino, Pierre-Louis, Valeria Castillo and Isabella Marty used a 13:43.41 time to earn second place.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN): 
  • Parker Doll won the 3000 Meter Run on a 8:41.53 trot on top of a third-place showing in the 5000 Meter Run with a 15:38.07 time.
  • Roger Reyes crossed the finish line in the 5000 Meter Run at the 15:28.52 mark to take first while adding third-place finishes in the Mile Run off a 4:19.79 time and the 1000 Meter Run behind a 2:32.25 showing.
  • Landan Creighton won the Heptathlon with 4460 points.
  • Anthon Rodriguez took gold in the Triple Jump off a 14.60m jump before a 7.09m performance in the Long Jump took second place.
  • Thomas Smith took second in the Heptathlon with 3930 points.
  • Kejar Stanfield earned second in the Weight Throw behind a 15.14m effort.
  • Rick Daniel took second in the 60 Meter Hurdles behind an 8.30 time.
  • Bradley Bowlin earned third in the 60 Meter Dash off a 6.88 run.
  • Alberto Moreira earned third in the 3000 Meter Race Walk off a 17:38.49 showing.
  • Jabes Jimenez used a 1:21.19 finish in the 600 Meter Run to place third.
  • Elijah Smith used a 4.45m showing in the Pole Vault to take third along with a 6.91m effort in the Long Jump that earned third.
  • The 4x800 Relay Team of Christopher Reid, Connor Glass, Deangelo Griffith and Kenzie Knowles took second behind an 8:18.85 cumulative time.
  • The Bobcats' Distance Medley of Reyes, Kristen Bodden, Maxwell Mesais and Darion Nelson used a 10:55.16 run to earn second place.
  • The Mixed 4x400 Meter Relay of Mkhori Crabbe, Sandifer, Zion Roberts and Emma DiVeronica took second off a 3:45.74 effort.

The NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship is set to take place in Gainesville, Fla. From Feb. 27-Mar. 1.
