Track And Field Makes Program History At NAIA Indoor National Championships

Gainesville, Fla. - Highlighted by the first Individual National Champions in program history, the St. Thomas University Men's And Women's Track And Field Teams went up against the best that the National Association Of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) had to offer at the Indoor Championships

ALL-AMERICAN BOBCATS: 

  • Elijah Smith became the program's first Individual National Champion behind a 7.69m showing in the Long Jump to finish first. He added another All-American accolade with a 14.83m effort in the Triple Jump that placed sixth.

  • Tonyan Beckford became the first National Champion on the women's side taking gold in the 200 Dash with a 23.65 run.

  • Nicholas Altheimer ran the 200 Dash in 21.81 to take sixth.

  • Kenzie Knowles took sixth in the 600 Run off a 1:18.57 time.

  • Nyrania Barr-Miller finished seventh in the 60 Hurdles behind an 8.83 time.

  • The Men's 4x400 Relay posted a 3:13.43 showing to take seventh.

  • The Women's 4x400 Relay Team finished fifth with a 3:46.18 time.
