MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. –  St. Thomas University Head Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Coach Caesar Asadi announced the addition of Isabella Gable as an Assistant Coach. Gable comes to Miami Gardens with experience across all three divisions of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

"We are excited to welcome Isabella to the Bobcat Aquatics Family,". Asadi said. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as both a swimmer and coach at the club and collegiate level. Her journey and passion for the sport is exactly what our program and women's team need as we go into Year 5 this Fall."

Gable joins the coaching ranks after concluding her collegiate career at Calvin University. Swimming for the Knights from 2022-24, Gable achieved All-American status in four events while at Calvin with First Team honors in the 400 Freestyle Relay alongside Second Team distinction in the 200 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay and 800 Freestyle Relay. She holds the school's record in two events, anchoring a 400 relay team that finished in 3:23.85 while leading an 800 relay unit to a 7:27.59 time.

Prior to Calvin, she attended Lindenwood University (2021-22) and the University of Tennessee (2019-21). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications and a Master's in Media & Strategic Communications.

"Throughout my journey, I've been fortunate to be part of incredible programs, to train under exceptional coaches, and to experience competition across all three NCAA divisions," Gable said. "I'm excited to bring the best of what I've learned into my coaching—both in and out of the pool—and to use my background in media and communication to help authentically share not just who we are, but all that I know we'll accomplish together."

Making her collegiate coaching debut at STU, Gable previously served as the head coach of the Stingrays Swim Team in St. Charles, Mo., and Assistant Coach for the EGRA Waves in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Gable began her swimming career with the Dayton Raiders where she was mentored by 2018 International Swim Coach Association Hall of Fame inductee Kevin Weldon.
