WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The St. Thomas University Bobcats drop conference road match versus Northwood University by a score of 1-8. The Northwood University Seahawks were ranked #15 in the NAIA poll. The loss drops the Bobcats to an overall record of 0-4 (0-3 in The Sun Conference).
The lady Bobcats came out and struggled in the doubles play. They dropped all three of the doubles matches, one of which by default. Natalia Ramirez and Bridget Castillo put up a good fight at #2 doubles before falling 8-4.
In singles play Adriana Montilla score the lone victory for the Bobcats at #5 singles. She won easily by a score of 6-3, 6-0. The rest of the Bobcats had a very hard time with the 6-2, 6-2 being the next closest score and that was by Natalia Ramirez at #2 singles.
The Bobcats have a couple weeks off before they get another chance to get into that win column. On February 27, they travel back to West Palm Beach, FL to play Palm Beach Atlantic University.
