Hall of Fame
Paul Mainieri was inducted into the Hall of Fame in November of 2009. Mainieri was the head coach of the Bobcats Baseball team from 1983-1988. During Mainieri's time at St Thomas he had four of his teams ranked in the NCAA Division II Top 10 and averaged 30 wins per season. He also served as the Athletics Director, adjuntc professor and is an alum of the nationally acclaimed STU Sports Administration graduate program.
In 1984, Mainieri earned his first head coaching accolades as the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year. Fifteen of Mainieri's STU players entered professional baseball with three appearing on Major League rosters.
